Hey! I am Cindy Hastings. I teach 6th grade Math, 6th Grade Reading, 8th Grade Reading, Teen Leadership, and Health. This is my 12th year in Hamlin ISD. I have taught 11 years in the Middle School and 1 year of 2nd grade. I love my job! I have lived in Hamlin all of my life. I attended college at Western Texas College in Snyder and earned my Bachelor's Degree at Hardin-Simmons University.

In my mathematics courses, we use Saxon and I love it. It is difficult for the students who are new to Hamlin and have not used it before, but I think it is very beneficial. I am also very active with UIL, and try to get the kids involved in all of the UIL events. All in all, it has been a great year so far. The kids placed 2nd in the District UIL Academic Meet last year. I look forward to many more great things during this school year.
