Thank you for taking the time to visit my webpage. While this is my second year in Hamlin, it is my twenty-fifth year in education. I have been an administrator for thirteen years. Seven years were in Middle School, three in High school, and three as a Superintendent.
I have found the students in Hamlin to be creative, innovative, eager to learn, and absolutely fun to know. It is my job to prepare them for the future of their choice. I honestly believe that each student can be a proactive, productive citizen. I have an open door policy and welcome your presence on our campus. All concerns as well as positive comments will be received. I believe that communication is the key to successful mediation when problems occur. I encourage students as well as parents to offer comments and share concerns. This year, our emphasis is on consistency. I have encouraged our teachers to be consistent in the classroom regarding behavior, expectations, and interactions with students. Since this is the first year in many years that this campus will have a full time principal, we are looking forward to making sure that situations are handled in a timely manner with the student's dignity preserved. A parent's support is essential to guide the students towards academic and social success. Our students are working hard to begin athletics, participate in UIL activites within the classroom and to meet the high expectations that we desire for them. I sincerely hope that the students are happy, successful in the educational and personal endeavors. It is a great day to be Hamlin Pied Pier!
