"Education is not to reform students or amuse them or to make them expert technicians. It is to unsettle their minds, widen their horizons, inflame their intellect, teach them to think straight, if possible." --Robert M. Hutchins
Hello! My name is Lanett Ponder. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Reading at Hamlin Middle School.
Being a Hamlin graduate and residing in Hamlin, I had always hoped to be working within Hamlin ISD. My hopes are to see each student succeed his/her potential this year. We are off to a great start. The morale is high and students are eager to read. Always encourage your child to read. Reading is a vital part of each student's future.
I am always open for comments, questions, and/or concerns. Please feel free to contact me either by email or by scheduling a conference. My conference time is 12:45-1:30. |
