Course Description:

Math in the 7th grade is focused on building on the mathematic concepts touched on in 6th grade. We will be going into a greater depth and understanding on these concepts and developing our reasoning and problem solving skills. Areas in math that we will explore this year include measurement, number operations, probability, statistics, algebra and geometry.

Course Requirements:

· Classroom attendance and behavior as established by the district and teacher
· Class participation – attentiveness in class and effort in all tasks and assignments.
· A year-end average of 70 or higher must be achieved to receive course credit.

Grading:

· Daily Grades = 50%
Daily grades consist of work completed during class as well as homework assignments.

· Tests = 50%
Test grades are comprised of formal assessments given at the end of each unit and any projects assigned, as well as spiral check grades.
